BDMA is dedicated to teaching our students real world self-defense skills in a fun and friendly training environment at an affordable price. We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of many different types of students. Regardless of which of our programs you choose, you are likely to gain self-confidence, respect, discipline, strength, fitness, and more as you learn self defense. Like all things in life, students get out of their training what they put into it. Your BDMA Instructors will be there to guide and challenge you in your journey, celebrate your successes, and help you learn from your mistakes.
Classes structured for every age, fitness level, and martial goal — from 5-year-old beginners to advanced black belts.
Our Junior Dragons program is designed for kids ages 5–9. We focus on the core fundamentals of martial arts in a fun, engaging way. Students learn safety skills while enjoying fun games, obstacle courses, and drills designed to build teamwork, confidence, discipline, respect, and coordination.
The primary program at BDMA, NinBuKai is an eclectic blend of Ninjutsu, Jujitsu, Tae Kwon Do, and Hapkido. A complete combat system teaching strikes, kicks, grappling, rolls, breakfalls, throws, locks, sparring, and weapons. "You fight the way you train."
A stand-alone system based on NinBuKai, specifically tailored for students who want effective self-defense without hard-impact takedowns, rolls, or high-flying kicks. Ideal for adults protecting joints or recovering from injury while training hard.
A dedicated weapons system with 3 rotating weapon groups: Bo (Rokushaku Bo, Hanbo, Naginata), Sword (Katana, Ninja-to, Dai-sho, Iaido), and Diverse Weapons (Kama, Sai, Tonfa, Kusari Fundo). Students earn formal ranks from White through Black Belt.
Classes held weekly at our Bellevue dojo. Flexible attendance with 1 Class/Week or All Access memberships.

Simple price structure, without getting locked into a contract. All classes offer discounts for multiple students from the same family.
Students can attend any one class of their selected program each week.

Every student from the same immediate family receives a 33% discount to ensure whole families can train affordably.
Testing is conducted every ~3 months and costs only $25 (includes new belt & certificate). Testing bundles for families included.
Active Duty Military, Veterans, and First Responders receive an additional $5 off/month for the first student.
Black Dragon Martial Arts was created in 1999 and started as a single class teaching NinBuKai. Over the years, several of our students have progressed into Black Belts and Instructors and recently we've added some new programs. However, what hasn't changed is our focus on offering effective self-defense skills in a positive and supportive environment at a fair price.
Now, at our new commercial space in Bellevue, we're able to expand our class offerings. It is an exciting time at Black Dragon Martial Arts and we'd love to have you join our school!
BDMA does not tolerate bullies, and actively works to teach students not to bully others. Earning rank advancement is a competition between "you and yourself" — focusing on personal growth, respect, and discipline.
